ABOUT WRITE URDU
About Write Urdu
Write Urdu helps people turn Urdu typed with English letters—or Urdu typed directly—into messages, documents and shareable designs. Core writing tools are free and do not require an account.
OUR PURPOSE
A simpler path to confident Urdu writing
Urdu speakers, learners and diaspora communities often begin on devices configured primarily for English. Write Urdu reduces that friction by providing several paths into Urdu writing rather than forcing everyone into one input method.
Start by typing Urdu with English letters, choose Urdu letters from the on-screen keyboard, or use the Rich Editor when you need headings, colours and document formatting.
Start with Roman Urdu or direct Urdu input.
Correct, format and organise the text.
Move into cards, images, QR codes or invoices when useful.
Copy, print or download the finished work.

Editorial and correction policy

KNOWN LIMITATIONS
What Write Urdu does not promise
Roman Urdu spellings can be ambiguous, so suggestions may produce more than one reasonable Urdu word. Review important text before publishing it.
Word, PDF, PNG, printing and native sharing can behave differently across browsers and operating systems.
Roman Urdu transliteration, web fonts and other explicitly documented services may involve external providers. The privacy page explains those boundaries.
